With the Martin Luther King, Jr. as the leader there were many people who did not like his stance on race and discriminated against him. The result was the Brown vs. Board of Education and other cases which came out in the courts where people were fighting for their civil rights.The civil rights movement eventually led to many changes to civil rights laws in the country. The biggest change that happened was the passage of the Civil Rights Act. This Act was actually an amendment to the constitution of the United States. The basic idea behind this Act was to ensure that people of color would be treated equally and could take part in the country's systems.One of the main issues with the civil rights movement was that there were not many black business owners in the South. The main problem was that the politicians who were there at the time could not agree with one another on the legislation.For example, a politician from Georgia may want to get the right to vote for the civil rights veterans, but the Atlanta politician who does not represent them may try to say that he does. With this type of thinking there would never be any legislation passed.This is why the civil rights movement paper was created. Many civil rights groups and politicians agreed that this was going to happen and therefore the paper was made to get people to fight for the right to vote and be treated fairly. The paper which was created was a very simple document, but it was well received and used to spread the message.The civil rights movement paper was only ever published once and it was a way for people to remember what was happening and why. It was really to give people the right to feel what the paper had to say, without the prejudice and discrimination that people who were originally protesting were facing. The newspaper of the day chose to use a non-partisan approach, which appealed to many people who disagreed with the civil rights legislation.While we would never know for sure how many people were actually influenced by the civil rights movement paper, we do know that it was indeed influential. It was even rumored that Martin Luther King, Jr. helped write the paper after he read it on the radio and decided to use it as a model for what he wanted to do. The paper may have been a success but it was never that popular with many politicians.The civil rights movement paper was not the first attempt to promote equality. Many things have been done before, but the paper was quite different and influenced a lot of people in a positive way. In the end we may never know how many people were influenced by the civil rights movement paper, but we do know that it was very influential and important.
